Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee federal grant applications and compliance documentation.
- Administer and process employee pension contributions and retirement eligibility requirements.
- Coordinate with HR departments to ensure accurate record-keeping and adherence to federal labor laws.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure fiscal responsibility and transparency in federal spending.
- Develop and implement policies related to federal employee benefits and compensation packages.
- Provide expert guidance to staff regarding retirement planning and federal compensation structures.
- Respond to inquiries from federal agencies regarding payroll and pension status.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal, state, or large-scale corporate HR or financial administration.
- Deep understanding of the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) and pension regulations.
- Strong knowledge of OPM (Office of Personnel Management) guidelines and federal compliance standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced government environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (if applicable to the specific role).
