Responsibilities
- Administer and audit federal pension plans to ensure ERISA and IRS compliance
- Investigate complex pension disputes and recommend corrective actions
- Develop educational materials for plan sponsors and participants
- Collaborate with legal teams on pension litigation and regulatory updates
- Analyze financial reports and actuarial valuations for plan health
- Conduct on-site examinations of pension plan operations
- Provide technical guidance to federal agencies and private sector partners
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required
- Minimum 5 years pension administration or benefits experience
- SPBC, CEBS, or QKA certification preferred
- Proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., FIS, Alight)
- Deep knowledge of ERISA, IRS Code 401(k), and PBGC regulations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to financial detail
- Ability to handle sensitive confidential information
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance
