Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans ensuring adherence to OPM and ERISA regulations
- Process retirement applications and calculate benefit payouts with precision
- Conduct audits of pension records to maintain data integrity and compliance
- Develop educational materials and workshops for employees nearing retirement
- Collaborate with finance teams on investment strategies for pension fund assets
- Respond to complex inquiries from beneficiaries regarding plan provisions
- Generate comprehensive reports for regulatory submissions and senior leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, HR, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension administration or federal benefits experience
- Expert knowledge of FERS, TSP, and federal retirement regulations
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and HRIS systems
- Professional certification (SHRM-SCP, CEBS, or similar) preferred
- Exceptional communication skills for stakeholder interactions
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance
