Responsibilities
- Administer pension plans, including benefit calculations, disbursements, and record maintenance
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS regulations, and Ohio public pension laws
- Develop and implement strategic investment strategies for pension fund assets
- Conduct regular audits and financial reporting for pension fund stakeholders
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to optimize retirement benefit programs
- Manage vendor relationships and technology systems supporting pension operations
- Provide guidance and training to employees and retirees on pension benefits
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in pension plan administration or benefits management
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or Certified Public Pension Administrator (CPPA) preferred
- Expertise in ERISA, IRS 401(k)/403(b) regulations, and Ohio public pension codes
- Advanced proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Millennium, Empower)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling and risk assessment
- Exceptional communication abilities for stakeholder engagement and training
- Valid Ohio driver’s license and clean driving record
