Responsibilities
- Administer defined benefit pension plans with precision, ensuring compliance with ERISA and Colorado State statutes
- Process complex retirement applications, benefit calculations, and member inquiries within SLAs
- Conduct annual valuations and actuarial reporting for 15,000+ active and retired members
- Develop and implement strategic investment strategies aligned with fiduciary responsibilities
- Lead system upgrades for pension administration software and data analytics
- Collaborate with HR departments and auditors for seamless benefits integration
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years pension administration experience with public sector plans
- ASP or QPA designation required, with CEFC designation strongly preferred
- Advanced proficiency in pension administration systems (e.g., Albridge, Millennium)
- Expert knowledge of IRS 415 limits, PBGC regulations, and Colorado Revised Statutes
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial documents
- Valid Colorado driver's license and ability to travel to satellite offices
