Responsibilities
- Manage pension plan eligibility, contributions, and distribution calculations
- Process retirement applications and resolve complex member inquiries
- Ensure compliance with federal ERISA regulations and state statutes
- Generate comprehensive benefit statements and quarterly reports
- Collaborate with HR departments across state agencies
- Maintain accurate member records in the retirement database
- Conduct benefit projections and financial modeling
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration experience
- Deep knowledge of ERISA, IRS regulations, and state retirement laws
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and pension administration software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently on night shift schedule
- Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, QKA) preferred
