Responsibilities
- Administer defined benefit pension plans for state/local government employees
- Process retirement applications and calculate benefit payments with 99.8% accuracy
- Conduct compliance audits for ERISA and Wisconsin state regulations
- Develop educational materials for plan participants and employer groups
- Collaborate with investment teams on funding strategies and actuarial reviews
- Manage participant inquiries and disputes through resolution protocols
- Prepare quarterly reports for regulatory filings and stakeholder communications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration experience
- Certification in pension administration (e.g., CEBS, QKA) preferred
- Expert knowledge of ERISA, IRS 415 limits, and Wisconsin Statutes 40.02
- Advanced proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Millennium, NCPERS)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial documents
- Excellent written/verbal communication abilities for stakeholder interactions
