Responsibilities
- Administer pension plans including eligibility calculations, benefit distributions, and compliance with federal/state regulations
- Manage participant records and ensure accurate data maintenance in pension systems
- Conduct annual valuations and prepare financial reports for pension fund oversight
- Provide retirement counseling and guidance to employees and retirees
- Collaborate with auditors and legal counsel on pension-related matters
- Develop and implement pension policy improvements aligned with best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in pension plan administration or benefits management
- Certified Public Pension Administrator (CPPA) or similar designation preferred
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS regulations, and Nebraska pension laws
- Advanced proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Millennium, Millennium Plus)
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Clear communication abilities for explaining complex retirement concepts
