Responsibilities
- Administer pension plans in compliance with state/federal regulations and ERISA standards
- Process retirement applications, calculate benefits, and maintain accurate participant records
- Provide exceptional customer service to retirees and beneficiaries via weekend shifts
- Conduct audits, reconcile accounts, and ensure fiduciary compliance
- Stay updated on pension legislation and implement policy changes
- Collaborate with HR departments and legal counsel on complex cases
- Generate analytical reports for stakeholders and regulatory bodies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration experience
- Deep knowledge of government retirement systems and IRS regulations
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and pension software
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as required
- Certification in retirement planning (QPA, CRC) preferred
- Spanish fluency highly valued for El Paso community outreach
