Responsibilities
- Administer complex pension plans including defined benefit and contribution programs for state employees
- Process retirement applications, benefit calculations, and disbursements with 99.9% accuracy
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS regulations, and Georgia pension statutes
- Develop and maintain comprehensive participant communications and educational materials
- Collaborate with investment teams to align pension strategies with financial projections
- Conduct audits and reconciliations of pension fund accounts quarterly
- Lead system upgrades for pension administration software (e.g., Oracle, PeopleSoft)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of pension administration or benefits management experience
- SPBA or CEBS certification strongly preferred
- Expert knowledge of pension regulations, accounting standards, and fiduciary responsibilities
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, and pension administration systems
- Proven ability to manage high-volume transaction processing with zero errors
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to financial detail
