Responsibilities
- Manage daily pension plan operations including benefit calculations, distributions, and record maintenance
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS regulations, and California state pension laws
- Develop and implement strategic investment policies aligned with fiduciary responsibilities
- Collaborate with external auditors, actuaries, and legal counsel for regulatory compliance
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports and board presentations for pension trustees
- Lead process improvements for pension administration workflows using modern systems
- Advise stakeholders on pension plan design, funding strategies, and risk management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of pension plan administration or retirement benefits experience
- Deep knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(k)/403(b) regulations, and California pension statutes
- Professional certifications (e.g., ASPPA, CFA, CPA) strongly preferred
- Proficiency in pension administration systems (e.g., Albridge, DST) and MS Office Suite
