Responsibilities
- Administer pension plan benefits including calculations, distributions, and member communications
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS regulations, and state statutes
- Process retirement applications and resolve complex benefit inquiries
- Conduct audits and financial reporting for pension fund assets
- Collaborate with HR departments on member eligibility and contributions
- Develop educational materials for plan participants
- Manage pension system databases and maintain accurate records
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension administration or benefits management experience
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(k)/403(b) regulations
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and pension administration software
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage sensitive confidential information
- Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, QKA) preferred
