Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end pension plan administration for federal employees across Washington D.C. and North Carolina regions
- Ensure strict compliance with ERISA, IRS regulations, and federal pension policies
- Conduct complex benefit calculations and eligibility verifications for retirement plans
- Develop and implement strategic pension investment strategies aligned with federal guidelines
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams to resolve pension-related disputes and appeals
- Generate comprehensive reports on pension fund performance and regulatory compliance
- Train and mentor junior administrators on pension procedures and systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in pension plan administration or benefits management
- Deep knowledge of federal retirement systems (FERS, CSRS) and ERISA compliance
- Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, QKA, or NIPA) strongly preferred
- Advanced proficiency in pension administration software and data analysis tools
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with attention to regulatory detail
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities for stakeholder interactions
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance
