Responsibilities
- Manage pension plan enrollment, distributions, and compliance with ERISA and state regulations
- Analyze financial data to ensure fund solvency and actuarial accuracy
- Process retirement claims and provide benefit counseling to state employees
- Develop reports for stakeholders including trustees, auditors, and plan participants
- Collaborate with investment teams to align fund strategies with regulatory requirements
- Implement policy changes and communicate updates to 100,000+ plan participants
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration experience
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(a), and Wisconsin state retirement laws
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and pension administration software (e.g., Millennium)
- Series 65 or 66 securities license preferred
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage confidential data with discretion
