We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Entry-Level Pension Plan Administrator to join our team at the City of Mesa. Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily administration of the city's pension plans, including data entry and record maintenance.
- Process and verify pension contributions, distributions, and other related transactions.
- Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders.
- Respond to inquiries from employees and retirees regarding pension benefits and procedures.
- Assist in the reconciliation of pension fund accounts and financial statements.
- Stay updated on changes in pension laws and regulations and communicate relevant updates to the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Entry-level experience (0-2 years) in finance, accounting, or benefits administration is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling and record-keeping.
- Basic knowledge of pension plans, retirement benefits, or employee benefits is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to learn new software systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
