Responsibilities
- Manage daily pension plan operations including contributions, distributions, and record-keeping
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS regulations, and Texas state pension laws
- Develop and implement retirement plan strategies for public sector employees
- Conduct benefit calculations and provide member education sessions
- Collaborate with auditors and legal counsel for annual compliance reviews
- Analyze plan performance and recommend investment adjustments
- Maintain accurate participant records through specialized software systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of pension plan administration experience in public/government sector
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or similar designation required
- Expert knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(a)/403(b) regulations
- Advanced proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Millennium, Albridge)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to complex financial calculations
