Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will oversee the lifecycle of pension plans, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage and process retirement applications, including eligibility verification and benefit calculations.
- Conduct regular audits of pension records to ensure data accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Respond to complex inquiries from members regarding pension projections, vested benefits, and payout options.
- Collaborate with the actuarial team to update pension models and financial forecasts.
- Ensure adherence to ERISA guidelines and Texas state pension laws.
- Maintain and update internal documentation and filing systems for all pension accounts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in pension administration, benefits management, or government finance.
- Strong working knowledge of ERISA regulations and state retirement systems.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and pension management software.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-technical audiences.
