Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans according to OPM regulations and agency policies
- Process retirement applications and benefit calculations with 99.8% accuracy
- Conduct eligibility reviews for pension claims and survivor benefits
- Advise federal employees on retirement planning options and TSP strategies
- Collaborate with HR departments on pension-related personnel actions
- Generate benefit statements and annual pension reports
- Train federal employees on retirement planning resources
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension/benefits administration experience
- Federal HR certification (SHRM-SCP or PHR preferred)
- Expert knowledge of CSRS, FERS, and TSP systems
- Proficient in federal payroll and benefits software
- Ability to interpret complex federal regulations (5 CFR, OPM guidelines)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
