Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans including TSP, FERS, and CSRS with precision and regulatory compliance
- Analyze complex financial data to forecast pension liabilities and recommend investment strategies
- Conduct audits of pension plan operations to identify and resolve compliance gaps
- Collaborate with HR departments to ensure accurate employee benefit enrollment and record-keeping
- Develop educational materials for federal employees regarding retirement planning options
- Prepare comprehensive reports for OMB and congressional oversight committees
- Manage vendor relationships for pension fund administration services
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of pension plan administration experience with federal or public sector plans
- SPHR, SHRM-SCP, or CEBS certification required
- Expert knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(k) regulations, and federal retirement systems
- Advanced proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., ADP, Workday)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling and risk assessment
- Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust security clearance
