Responsibilities
- Administer pension plans in compliance with ERISA, IRS, and Maryland state regulations
- Process retirement applications, benefit calculations, and distribution requests during night shifts
- Conduct fiduciary audits and financial reporting for multi-million dollar retirement funds
- Provide 24/7 remote support to retirees and active employees via phone/email
- Collaborate with investment teams to manage pension fund assets and risk
- Develop educational materials for pre-retirement planning workshops
- Maintain secure digital records using state-of-the-art HRIS systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension administration or retirement benefits experience
- Deep knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(k)/457 regulations, and Maryland pension statutes
- Proficiency with pension management software (e.g., Oracle HCM, Workday)
- FINRA Series 65 or 66 certification preferred
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently during night shifts in remote environment
- Strong written/verbal communication skills for technical documentation
