Responsibilities
- Administer pension plans in accordance with government regulations and ERISA guidelines
- Process retirement applications, disbursements, and participant communications
- Conduct pension eligibility reviews and benefit calculations
- Prepare monthly/quarterly financial reports for regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with HR and payroll departments on employee data integration
- Conduct annual plan audits and maintain accurate participant records
- Provide excellent customer service to retirees and employees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension administration or benefits management experience
- Certified Pension Administrator (CPA) or CEBS designation preferred
- Strong knowledge of government pension regulations (ERISA, IRS, CalPERS)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and pension administration software
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
