Responsibilities
- Administer pension plan documents, including retirement calculations and benefit statements
- Ensure compliance with federal/state pension laws and annual reporting requirements
- Manage participant inquiries and resolve complex pension-related issues
- Collaborate with auditors and legal counsel on compliance reviews
- Analyze pension fund performance and recommend investment strategy adjustments
- Develop educational materials for employees on retirement planning
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration experience
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, CalPERS, and IRS regulations
- Proficiency in pension management software (e.g., Millennium, Albridge)
- FINRA Series 65 or 63 certification preferred
- Experience with government pension fund accounting (GASB 68)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
