Responsibilities
- Administer and interpret federal pension regulations under ERISA and the Multiemployer Pension Plan Act
- Conduct on-site compliance audits for pension fund trustees and administrators
- Develop educational materials for plan sponsors and beneficiaries
- Analyze actuarial reports and financial statements to ensure plan solvency
- Collaborate with DOJ and DOL on enforcement actions for non-compliant plans
- Lead stakeholder workshops on pension plan governance best practices
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, or related field
- 5+ years of pension plan administration or regulatory compliance experience
- Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, ASA, or ERISA attorney)
- Expert knowledge of ERISA, PBGC, and IRS pension regulations
- Advanced proficiency in pension actuarial software (e.g., Milliman, Willis Towers Watson)
- Ability to interpret complex financial statements and actuarial valuations
- Clearances: Public Trust and ability to obtain Security Clearance
