Responsibilities
- Administer complex federal pension plans ensuring ERISA and IRS compliance
- Conduct benefit calculations and retirement eligibility determinations
- Develop and implement pension policy procedures for federal agencies
- Provide expert consultation to federal employees and HR departments
- Analyze pension plan data to identify trends and recommend improvements
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies
- Prepare comprehensive reports for congressional oversight committees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, or related field
- 5+ years of pension plan administration experience
- SPBC or CEBS certification strongly preferred
- Expert knowledge of federal retirement systems (FERS, CSRS)
- Advanced proficiency in pension administration software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to handle sensitive financial data with discretion
- Active federal security clearance (or ability to obtain)
