Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive audits of federal pension plans to ensure ERISA and IRS compliance
- Analyze retirement plan documents for fiduciary responsibility adherence
- Investigate and resolve pension-related complaints and violations
- Prepare detailed regulatory reports and corrective action recommendations
- Provide technical guidance to federal agencies on pension administration best practices
- Monitor legislative changes affecting federal retirement programs
- Collaborate with OPM and Treasury Department on pension policy initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of pension plan administration or regulatory compliance experience
- Deep knowledge of ERISA, IRS Code 401(k), and federal retirement systems
- Professional certification (CEBS, QKA, or CFA) strongly preferred
- Experience with pension audit software and federal reporting systems
- Ability to interpret complex regulations and communicate technical concepts
- Active U.S. government security clearance or ability to obtain one
