Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans (FERS, TSP) ensuring ERISA and OPM compliance
- Conduct complex benefit calculations and retirement counseling for federal employees
- Develop policy recommendations to modernize retirement security programs
- Collaborate with OMB, GAO, and congressional committees on pension legislation
- Lead audits of agency pension fund investments and actuarial valuations
- Create training materials for HR specialists on retirement benefits
- Manage system integrations between payroll and pension databases
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years pension administration experience with federal/state retirement systems
- Advanced knowledge of ERISA, TSP, and FERS regulations
- Proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Oracle HCM, SAP HR)
- Series 7 or Series 63 securities license required
- Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
- Experience leading cross-agency pension reform initiatives
