Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans including CSRS, FERS, and TSP accounts with 99.8% accuracy
- Conduct complex benefit calculations for retirement, disability, and survivor claims
- Advise federal employees on retirement planning strategies using proprietary SSA software
- Ensure compliance with OPM regulations and ERISA requirements
- Lead cross-agency audits and process improvement initiatives
- Train junior specialists on pension administration best practices
- Collaborate with congressional offices on retirement policy recommendations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Public Administration required
- 5+ years of pension administration experience with federal benefits systems
- Expert knowledge of CSRS/FERS regulations and TSP procedures
- Advanced proficiency in SSA's eOPF and BENEFITS software
- Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, ASPA) preferred
- Top Secret security clearance with SSBI investigation
- Experience managing caseloads with 500+ concurrent cases
- Demonstrated ability to interpret complex federal statutes
