- Process retirement applications and benefit adjustments with 99.9% accuracy
- Conduct eligibility verifications and actuarial calculations for complex cases
- Respond to beneficiary inquiries via secure channels during night shift hours
- Collaborate with IRS and Treasury on compliance audits and reporting
- Maintain digital records using SSA's proprietary systems (e.g., MAXIS)
- Train night-shift teams on pension policy updates and procedural changes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Public Administration
- 3+ years of pension administration or federal benefits experience
- FPM (Federal Pension Manager) or CERP certification preferred
- Proficiency in SSA systems (MAXIS, BRS) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently during night shift (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Expert knowledge of federal retirement laws (FERS, CSRS)
- Active Secret Security clearance or ability to obtain one
