Responsibilities
- Manage pension plan administration including benefit calculations, distributions, and record maintenance
- Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations (ERISA, M.G.L. c. 32) and internal policies
- Provide expert guidance to retirees, beneficiaries, and HR partners on pension matters
- Analyze financial data to forecast liabilities and recommend plan adjustments
- Develop educational materials and conduct retirement planning workshops
- Collaborate with auditors and legal counsel for annual compliance reviews
- Optimize digital systems for pension enrollment and benefit management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration or benefits management experience
- Deep knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(a)/403(b) regulations, and Massachusetts pension laws
- Advanced proficiency in pension software (e.g., Millennium, Empower) and MS Office Suite
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or similar designation preferred
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to financial accuracy
