Responsibilities
- Manage and administer complex pension plans for municipal employees
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, CalPERS, and government regulations
- Process retirement applications and benefit calculations accurately
- Conduct financial forecasting and risk analysis for pension portfolios
- Collaborate with HR and audit teams on retirement planning initiatives
- Develop educational materials for employees regarding retirement options
- Utilize specialized software (e.g., Oracle Pension) for data management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 3+ years of pension administration or benefits experience
- Strong knowledge of government pension regulations (CalPERS/GERS)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and pension management software
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or SPHR designation preferred
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proven experience with remote work environments
- Clear criminal background check required
