Responsibilities
- Administer and optimize state pension plans ensuring compliance with federal regulations (ERISA) and Indiana state laws
- Process daily payroll contributions and retirement distributions with 99.9% accuracy
- Conduct benefit calculations and provide personalized retirement counseling to employees
- Develop and implement pension policy improvements through data-driven analysis
- Collaborate with auditors and legal teams for annual compliance reviews
- Manage digital pension records and maintain secure documentation systems
- Train HR personnel on pension plan updates and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years' experience in pension administration or benefits management
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or Society of Actuaries (SOA) designation
- Proficiency with pension software (e.g., Millennium, Empower) and Excel advanced functions
- Deep understanding of IRS 401(a) and 457(b) retirement plan regulations
