Responsibilities
- Administer pension plans in strict compliance with government regulations (ERISA, IRS codes)
- Process retirement applications, benefit calculations, and member communications
- Conduct audits and ensure data accuracy for pension fund operations
- Provide expert guidance to retirees on benefit options and retirement planning
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams on policy updates and compliance matters
- Generate comprehensive reports for city officials and regulatory bodies
- Maintain confidential member records with highest data security standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years pension administration or government finance experience
- Deep knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(k)/403(b) regulations, and pension laws
- Proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Millennium, NPS)
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to financial detail
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on weekend shifts
- FBI background check and security clearance required
