Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain pension plan records for state employees
- Process retirement applications and benefit calculations
- Provide night-time support for pension inquiries via phone/email
- Collaborate with HR departments to resolve complex pension issues
- Generate monthly/quarterly pension reports for state auditors
- Ensure compliance with Texas state pension regulations
- Train night shift staff on pension plan updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 3+ years of pension administration experience
- Strong knowledge of ERISA and Texas pension laws
- Ability to work independently during night shift (6 PM - 6 AM)
- Proficiency in pension software (e.g., Millennium, Empower)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Valid Texas driver's license (for occasional travel)
