Responsibilities
- Manage and administer federal pension plans in strict compliance with ERISA and OPM regulations
- Process retirement applications, calculate benefits, and resolve discrepancies with precision
- Conduct audits of pension records to ensure accuracy and regulatory adherence
- Develop and implement process improvements for pension administration workflows
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams on policy updates and compliance initiatives
- Maintain confidential employee records while adhering to data security protocols
- Provide guidance to federal employees on pension options and retirement planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of pension plan administration experience
- Deep knowledge of federal retirement systems (FERS, CSRS, TSP)
- Proficiency in pension administration software and Excel
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours (6 PM - 6 AM)
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one
