Responsibilities
- Manage pension plan enrollment, disbursements, and record maintenance
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS regulations, and state pension laws
- Process retirement applications and conduct benefit calculations
- Respond to participant inquiries via secure messaging systems
- Generate monthly/quarterly pension reports for leadership review
- Collaborate with auditors during compliance examinations
- Maintain accurate pension databases using specialized software
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 3+ years of pension administration experience
- Proficiency with pension management software (e.g., Millennium, PSRS)
- Knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(a), and Maryland pension statutes
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours (11 PM - 7 AM)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, QPA) preferred
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass background check
