Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans including TSP, FERS, and CSRS with meticulous accuracy
- Conduct weekend shift pension benefit calculations and claims processing
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, OPM, and IRS pension regulations
- Respond to complex pension inquiries via secure federal communication channels
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams on retirement policy implementation
- Maintain digital pension records in federal systems (e.g., HRIS, PRIME)
- Prepare quarterly pension compliance reports for OPM review
- Train federal employees on retirement planning during weekend workshops
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years pension administration or federal benefits experience
- Expert knowledge of federal pension regulations (FERS/CSRS/TSP)
- GS-12-level federal service experience or equivalent private sector role
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, HRIS systems, and federal databases
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts (Sat-Sun)
- Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, QKA) strongly preferred
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance
