Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of pension plan documents for regulatory compliance
- Perform on-site and desk audits to enforce ERISA and federal pension regulations
- Provide technical guidance to plan sponsors and participants regarding retirement benefits
- Investigate and resolve complex pension plan discrepancies and complaints
- Prepare detailed compliance reports and corrective action recommendations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop regulatory guidance materials
- Monitor emerging pension industry trends and regulatory changes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of pension plan administration or benefits analysis experience
- Expert knowledge of ERISA, IRS Code 401(k), and federal pension regulations
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial documents
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for stakeholder interactions
- Proficiency in pension management software (e.g., ADP, Benefitfocus)
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
