Responsibilities
- Manage pension plan inquiries and enrollment processes for weekend shift participants
- Analyze retirement benefit calculations and ensure compliance with state/federal regulations
- Process retirement applications and coordinate with payroll systems
- Conduct participant outreach and educational workshops on weekends
- Maintain accurate pension records using specialized state software
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex benefit scenarios
- Prepare monthly weekend shift reports and audit documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of pension administration or benefits experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and pension software systems
- Strong analytical skills for benefit calculation and compliance auditing
- Excellent communication skills for weekend participant interactions
- Knowledge of Illinois pension laws and ERISA regulations
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
- Valid Illinois driver's license for occasional travel to satellite offices
