Responsibilities
- Process and validate pension applications, disbursements, and adjustments with 99.9% accuracy
- Provide specialized guidance on federal retirement plans (TSP, CSRS, FERS) via secure communication channels
- Conduct eligibility verifications and benefit calculations using federal systems (e.g., HRConnect, MyLeave)
- Collaborate with IRS and OPM to resolve complex pension discrepancies and audit requests
- Maintain meticulous documentation in compliance with federal record-keeping standards
- Train junior specialists on pension regulations and system protocols
- Generate monthly compliance reports for senior leadership review
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of experience with federal pension systems (TSP/CSRS/FERS)
- Active federal security clearance (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Proficiency in federal HR systems (e.g., HRS, HRConnect)
- Expert knowledge of ERISA, OPM regulations, and federal retirement statutes
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail for complex calculations
- Ability to work independently during night shift (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
