Responsibilities
- Receive and process emergency and non-emergency calls for service with accuracy and composure.
- Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and medical units to locations using the CAD system.
- Maintain real-time communication with field units via radio.
- Enter and update incident reports and crime statistics into the records management system.
- Provide information to the public regarding police services and procedures.
- Monitor security cameras and surveillance equipment for the department.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- U.S. Citizen or permanent resident.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to type at least 35 words per minute.
- Clean criminal record (background check required).
- Ability to remain calm and focused under high-pressure situations.
