Responsibilities
- Process 911 emergency calls and prioritize critical incidents
- Dispatch police units using CAD systems and radio protocols
- Maintain accurate incident logs and documentation
- Coordinate with other emergency agencies (EMS, Fire)
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support
- Operate multi-line telephone systems during high-volume situations
- Assist with training and quality assurance programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to type 35+ WPM (verified by typing test)
- Clear criminal background and drug screening
- U.S. citizenship and valid Pennsylvania driver's license
- Exceptional communication and multitasking abilities
- Basic computer literacy (MS Office, data entry)
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- Pass psychological evaluation and voice stress assessment
