Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with speed and accuracy
- Operate radio systems to coordinate field units and resources
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and incidents
- Utilize CAD systems for dispatching and tracking
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
- Collaborate with officers, firefighters, and EMS during critical incidents
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and NIMS standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with high accuracy
- Strong multitasking abilities under pressure
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- US citizenship or permanent residency status
- No felony convictions or serious misdemeanors
