Responsibilities
- Process 911 and non-emergency calls with exceptional accuracy and empathy
- Operate Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems and radio equipment
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during emergency incidents
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Provide life-saving instructions via emergency medical protocols
- Monitor multiple radio channels simultaneously during critical events
- Utilize GIS mapping for efficient resource deployment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- U.S. citizenship and valid Minnesota driver's license
- Pass comprehensive background investigation and polygraph exam
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- Clear diction and exceptional communication skills
- No felony convictions and clean driving record
- Successfully complete departmental training program
