Responsibilities
- Process 911 and non-emergency calls with accuracy and empathy
- Dispatch police officers and emergency services to incident locations
- Maintain detailed records of all communications and activities
- Operate radio systems, CAD software, and emergency alert platforms
- Provide critical information to field units during emergencies
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Adhere to strict protocols for sensitive and confidential information
- Participate in continuous training and scenario drills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 18 years of age at time of appointment
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
- Clear typing test (minimum 40 WPM with accuracy)
- Ability to pass background check, polygraph, and drug screening
- Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills
- Basic computer proficiency and tech adaptability
- Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
