Responsibilities
- Answer emergency/non-emergency calls with professionalism and urgency
- Dispatch police units using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain clear radio communications with field units
- Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers during emergencies
- Accurately document all call details and actions in databases
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and procedural protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 40 WPM typing proficiency (verified test)
- U.S. citizenship and valid California driver's license
- Pass comprehensive background check and polygraph
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/holidays
- Clear speaking voice and exceptional communication skills
