Responsibilities
- Answer emergency 911 calls and non-emergency lines with speed and precision
- Dispatch police, fire, and medical emergency services using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain accurate logs and records of all communications
- Provide critical information to officers in the field during emergencies
- Operate multi-channel radio systems and communication equipment
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Remain calm and professional under high-pressure situations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid California Driver's License
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM (verified typing certificate required)
- Ability to pass background check, polygraph, and psychological evaluation
- Clear speaking voice with excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask and make quick decisions
- No felony convictions or serious misdemeanor convictions
- Basic computer proficiency
