Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with speed and accuracy
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and incidents
- Provide life-saving instructions to callers during emergencies
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Operate radio equipment and specialized communication tools
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and protocol standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- U.S. citizenship and valid Pennsylvania driver's license
- Pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Ability to multitask in high-stress environments
- Clear communication skills and emotional resilience
- Basic computer proficiency and typing ability (35+ WPM)
- Must be available for rotating shifts including nights/weekends
