Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls from the public
- Dispatch police, fire, and medical units using CAD systems
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Operate radio equipment and multi-agency communication channels
- Provide clear instructions to callers during critical incidents
- Coordinate resources during major emergencies and disasters
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and city departments
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 18 years of age
- U.S. citizenship or legal work authorization
- Pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- Basic computer proficiency and customer service skills
- Valid Colorado driver's license
