Responsibilities
- Process 911 calls and prioritize emergency communications
- Dispatch police units and coordinate multi-agency responses
- Utilize CAD systems and radio protocols during critical incidents
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation for all communications
- Provide clear instructions to callers during emergencies
- Collaborate with fire, EMS, and other public safety agencies
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong typing skills (40+ WPM preferred)
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations
- Basic computer literacy and technical aptitude
- Must be 21 years old and a U.S. citizen
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
