Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with speed and accuracy
- Operate multi-channel radio systems to coordinate field units
- Enter and maintain detailed incident reports in CAD systems
- Provide critical information to officers, firefighters, and EMS
- Remain calm during high-stress emergency situations
- Follow established protocols for crisis intervention
- Train on advanced dispatching technologies and procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- U.S. citizenship and valid California driver's license
- Ability to pass background investigation and polygraph
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with accuracy
- Clear communication skills in English
- No felony convictions
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- Basic computer proficiency
